ਪੜਣਾ ਗੁੜਣਾ ਸੰਸਾਰ ਕੀ ਕਾਰ ਹੈ ਅੰਦਰਿ ਤ੍ਰਿਸਨਾ ਵਿਕਾਰੁ ॥ ਹਉਮੈ ਵਿਚਿ ਸਭਿ ਪੜਿ ਥਕੇ ਦੂਜੈ ਭਾਇ ਖੁਆਰੁ ॥ ਸੋ ਪੜਿਆ ਸੋ ਪੰਡਿਤੁ ਬੀਨਾ ਗੁਰ ਸਬਦਿ ਕਰੇ ਵੀਚਾਰੁ ॥ ਅੰਦਰੁ ਖੋਜੈ ਤਤੁ ਲਹੈ ਪਾਏ ਮੋਖ ਦੁਆਰੁ ॥ ਗੁਣ ਨਿਧਾਨੁ ਹਰਿ ਪਾਇਆ ਸਹਜਿ ਕਰੇ ਵੀਚਾਰੁ ॥ ਧੰਨੁ ਵਾਪਾਰੀ ਨਾਨਕਾ ਜਿਸੁ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਅਧਾਰੁ ॥੧॥ ਮਃ ੩ ॥ ਵਿਣੁ ਮਨੁ ਮਾਰੇ ਕੋਇ ਨ ਸਿਝਈ ਵੇਖਹੁ ਕੋ ਲਿਵ ਲਾਇ ॥ ਭੇਖਧਾਰੀ ਤੀਰਥੀ ਭਵਿ ਥਕੇ ਨਾ ਏਹੁ ਮਨੁ ਮਾਰਿਆ ਜਾਇ ॥ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਏਹੁ ਮਨੁ ਜੀਵਤੁ ਮਰੈ ਸਚਿ ਰਹੈ ਲਿਵ ਲਾਇ ॥ ਨਾਨਕ ਇਸੁ ਮਨ ਕੀ ਮਲੁ ਇਉ ਉਤਰੈ ਹਉਮੈ ਸਬਦਿ ਜਲਾਇ ॥੨॥ ਪਉੜੀ ॥ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਸੰਤ ਮਿਲਹੁ ਮੇਰੇ ਭਾਈ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਦ੍ਰਿੜਾਵਹੁ ਇਕ ਕਿਨਕਾ ॥ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਸੀਗਾਰੁ ਬਨਾਵਹੁ ਹਰਿ ਜਨ ਹਰਿ ਕਾਪੜੁ ਪਹਿਰਹੁ ਖਿਮ ਕਾ ॥ ਐਸਾ ਸੀਗਾਰੁ ਮੇਰੇ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਭਾਵੈ ਹਰਿ ਲਾਗੈ ਪਿਆਰਾ ਪ੍ਰਿਮ ਕਾ ॥ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਬੋਲਹੁ ਦਿਨੁ ਰਾਤੀ ਸਭਿ ਕਿਲਬਿਖ ਕਾਟੈ ਇਕ ਪਲਕਾ ॥ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਦਇਆਲੁ ਹੋਵੈ ਜਿਸੁ ਉਪਰਿ ਸੋ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਹਰਿ ਜਪਿ ਜਿਣਕਾ ॥੨੧॥

ਪੜ੍ਹਨਾ ਤੇ ਵਿਚਾਰਨਾ ਸੰਸਾਰ ਦਾ ਕੰਮ (ਹੀ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ) ਹੈ (ਭਾਵ, ਹੋਰ ਵਿਹਾਰਾਂ ਵਾਂਗ ਇਹ ਭੀ ਇਕ ਵਿਹਾਰ ਹੀ ਬਣ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ, ਪਰ) ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਤ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨਾ ਤੇ ਵਿਕਾਰ (ਟਿਕੇ ਹੀ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ) ਹਨਅਹੰਕਾਰ ਵਿਚ ਸਾਰੇ (ਪੰਡਿਤ) ਪੜ੍ਹ ਪੜ੍ਹ ਕੇ ਥੱਕ ਗਏ ਹਨ, ਮਾਇਆ ਦੇ ਮੋਹ ਵਿਚ ਖ਼ੁਆਰ ਹੀ ਹੁੰਦੇ ਹਨ ।ਉਹ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਪੜ੍ਹਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਤੇ ਸਿਆਣਾ ਪੰਡਿਤ ਹੈ (ਭਾਵ, ਉਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੂੰ ਪੰਡਿਤ ਸਮਝੋ), ਜੋ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਵਿਚ ਵਿਚਾਰ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਪੜ੍ਹਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਤੇ ਸਿਆਣਾ ਪੰਡਿਤ ਹੈ (ਭਾਵ, ਉਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੂੰ ਪੰਡਿਤ ਸਮਝੋ), ਜੋ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਵਿਚ ਵਿਚਾਰ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਜੋ ਗੁਣਾਂ ਦੇ ਖ਼ਜ਼ਾਨੇ ਹਰੀ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਆਤਮਕ ਅਡੋਲਤਾ ਵਿਚ ਟਿਕ ਕੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਗੁਣਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਸੁਰਤਿ ਜੋੜੀ ਰੱਖਦਾ ਹੈ ।ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਸਨਮੁਖ ਹੋਏ ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੂੰ ‘ਨਾਮ’ ਆਸਰਾ (ਰੂਪ) ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਨਾਮ ਦਾ ਵਾਪਾਰੀ ਮੁਬਾਰਿਕ ਹੈ ।੧। ਤੁਸੀਂ ਕੋਈ ਭੀ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਬ੍ਰਿਤੀ ਜੋੜ ਕੇ ਵੇਖ ਲਵੋ, ਮਨ ਨੂੰ ਕਾਬੂ ਕਰਨ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾਂ ਕੋਈ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਿੱਝਿਆ (ਭਾਵ, ਕਿਸੇ ਦੀ ਘਾਲਿ ਥਾਇ ਨਹੀਂ ਪਈ); ਭੇਖ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ (ਸਾਧੂ ਭੀ) ਤੀਰਥਾਂ ਦੀ ਯਾਤ੍ਰਾ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਰਹਿ ਗਏ ਹਨ, (ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ) ਇਹ ਮਨ ਮਾਰਿਆ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਸਨਮੁਖ ਹੋਇਆਂ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਸੱਚੇ ਹਰੀ ਵਿਚ ਬ੍ਰਿਤੀ ਜੋੜੀ ਰੱਖਦਾ ਹੈ (ਇਸ ਕਰਕੇ) ਉਸ ਦਾ ਮਨ ਜੀਊਂਦਾ ਹੀ ਮੋਇਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ (ਭਾਵ, ਮਾਇਆ ਵਿਚ ਵਰਤਦਿਆਂ ਭੀ ਮਾਇਆ ਤੋਂ ਉਦਾਸ ਹੈ) ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਇਸ ਮਨ ਦੀ ਮੈਲ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਉਤਰਦੀ ਹੈ ਕਿ (ਮਨ ਦੀ) ਹਉਮੈ (ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ) ਸ਼ਬਦ ਨਾਲ ਸਾੜੀ ਜਾਏ ।੨। ਹੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਭਾਈ ਸੰਤ ਜਨੋਂ! ਇਕ ਕਿਣਕਾ ਮਾਤ੍ਰ (ਮੈਨੂੰ ਭੀ) ਹਰੀ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਜਪਾਵੋ ਹੇ ਹਰੀ ਜਨੋਂ! ਹਰੀ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਦਾ ਸਿੰਗਾਰ ਬਣਾਵੋ, ਤੇ ਖਿਮਾ ਦੀ ਪੁਸ਼ਾਕ ਪਹਿਨੋ,ਇਹੋ ਜਿਹਾ ਸ਼ਿੰਗਾਰ ਪਿਆਰੇ ਹਰੀ ਨੂੰ ਚੰਗਾ ਲੱਗਦਾ ਹੈ, ਹਰੀ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਦਾ ਸ਼ਿੰਗਾਰ ਪਿਆਰਾ ਲੱਗਦਾ ਹੈ ਦਿਨ ਰਾਤ ਹਰੀ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਸਿਮਰੋ, ਇਕ ਪਲਕ ਵਿਚ ਸਾਰੇ ਪਾਪ ਕੱਟ ਦੇਵੇਗਾ ਜਿਸ ਗੁਰਮੁਖ ਉਤੇ ਹਰੀ ਦਇਆਲ ਹੰੁਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਹਰੀ ਦਾ ਸਿਮਰਨ ਕਰ ਕੇ (ਸੰਸਾਰ ਤੋਂ) ਜਿੱਤ (ਕੇ) ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ।੨੧।

Meaning in Hindi:

पढ़ना और विचारना संसार के काम (ही हो गए) है (भाव।और व्यावहारों की तरह ये भी एक व्यवहार ही बन गया है।पर) हृदय में तृष्णा और विकार (टिके ही रहते) हैं;अहंकार में सारे (पंडित) पढ़ पढ़ के थक गए है।माया के मोह में दुखी ही होते हैं।गुरु के शब्द का विचार करता हैजो अपने मन को खोजता है (अंदर से) हरी को पा लेता है और (तृष्णा से) बचने का रास्ता ढूँढ लेता है।जो गुणों के खजाने हरी को प्राप्त करता है और आत्मिक अडोलता में टिक के परमात्मा के गुणों में सुरति जोड़े रखता है।हे नानक ! इस तरह सतिगुरू के सन्मुख हुए जिस मनुष्य का आसरा ‘नाम’ है।वह नाम का व्यापारी मुबारिक है। 1। कोई भी मनुष्य बिरती जोड़ के देख ले।मन को काबू किए बिना कोई सफल नहीं हुआ (भाव।किसी की मेहनत सफल नहीं हुई);भेष करने वाले (साधू भी) तीर्थों की यात्राएं करते थक गए हैं।(इस तरह भी) ये मन मारा नहीं जाता।सतिगुरू जी के सन्मुख होने से मनुष्य सच्चे हरी में बिरती जोड़े रखता है (इस लिए) उसका मन जीवित ही मरा हुआ है (भाव माया के व्यवहार करते हुए भी माया से उदास है)।हे नानक ! इस मन की मैल इस तरह उतरती है कि (मन का) अहंकार (सतिगुरू के) शबद में जलाया जाए। 2। हे मेरे भाई संत जनो ! एक किनका मात्र (मुझे भी) हरी का नाम जपाओ।हे हरी जनो ! हरी के नाम का श्रृंगार बनाओ।और क्षमा की पोशक पहनो।ऐसा श्रृंगार प्यारे हरी को अच्छा लगता है।हरी के प्रेम का श्रृंगार प्यारा लगता है।दिन-रात हरी का नाम सिमरो।एक पलक में सारे पाप कट जाएंगे।जिस गुरमुख पर हरी दयाल होता है वह हरी का सिमरन करके (संसार से) जीत के जाता है। 21।

Shalok, Third Mehla:Reading and studying are just worldly pursuits, if there is thirst and corruption within.Reading in egotism, all have grown weary; through the love of duality, they are ruined.He alone is educated, and he alone is a wise Pandit, who contemplates the Word of the Guru’s Shabad.He searches within himself, and finds the true essence; he finds the Door of Salvation.He finds the Lord, the treasure of excellence, and peacefully contemplates Him.Blessed is the trader, O Nanak, who, as Gurmukh, takes the Name as his only Support. ||1|| Third Mehla:Without conquering his mind, no one can be successful. See this, and concentrate on it.The wandering holy men are tired of of making pilgrimages to sacred shrines; they have not been able to conquer their minds.The Gurmukh has conquered his mind, and he remains lovingly absorbed in the True Lord.O Nanak, this is how the filth of the mind is removed; the Word of the Shabad burns away the ego. ||2|| Pauree:O Saints of the Lord, O my Siblings of Destiny, please meet with me, and implant the Name of the One Lord within me.O humble servants of the Lord, adorn me with the decorations of the Lord, Har, Har; let me wear the robes of the Lord’s forgiveness.Such decorations are pleasing to my God; such love is dear to the Lord.I chant the Name of the Lord, Har, Har, day and night; in an instant, all sins are eradicated.That Gurmukh, unto whom the Lord becomes merciful, chants the Lord’s Name, and wins the game of life. ||21||

Shlok, Mejl Guru Amar Das, Tercer Canal Divino.Obtener conocimiento no es más que seguir el sendero del mundo, si las pasiones viven en el interior. Con ego uno es destruido aún por la misma inteligencia porque uno sigue en la idea del otro. Sólo es sabio aquél que habita en la Palabra del Shabd del Guru. Quien busca en su interior obtiene la Quintaesencia y logra la Liberación. Él obtiene a Dios, el Tesoro de Virtud, y en un Estado de Paz, medita en Él.Bendito es el mercader, dice Nanak, cuyo capital es el Nombre del Señor. (1) Mejl Guru Amar Das, Tercer Canal Divino.Nadie gana el juego de la vida si no vence a su propia mente, pero uno no puede ganarle a la mente, visitando los lugares de peregrinaje o usando distintos hábitos. La mente es conquistada en la vida a través del Guru, si uno se entona en la Verdad del Señor.Dice Nanak, de esta forma el cochambre de la mente es erradicado, ya que el ego se consume a través de la Palabra del Shabd.
