ਧਨਾਸਰੀ ਮਹਲਾ ੪ ॥

ਇਛਾ ਪੂਰਕੁ ਸਰਬ ਸੁਖਦਾਤਾ ਹਰਿ ਜਾ ਕੈ ਵਸਿ ਹੈ ਕਾਮਧੇਨਾ ॥ ਸੋ ਐਸਾ ਹਰਿ ਧਿਆਈਐ ਮੇਰੇ ਜੀਅੜੇ ਤਾ ਸਰਬ ਸੁਖ ਪਾਵਹਿ ਮੇਰੇ ਮਨਾ ॥੧॥ ਜਪਿ ਮਨ ਸਤਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਸਦਾ ਸਤਿ ਨਾਮੁ ॥ ਹਲਤਿ ਪਲਤਿ ਮੁਖ ਊਜਲ ਹੋਈ ਹੈ ਨਿਤ ਧਿਆਈਐ ਹਰਿ ਪੁਰਖੁ ਨਿਰੰਜਨਾ ॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ ਜਹ ਹਰਿ ਸਿਮਰਨੁ ਭਇਆ ਤਹ ਉਪਾਧਿ ਗਤੁ ਕੀਨੀ ਵਡਭਾਗੀ ਹਰਿ ਜਪਨਾ ॥ ਜਨ ਨਾਨਕ ਕਉ ਗੁਰਿ ਇਹ ਮਤਿ ਦੀਨੀ ਜਪਿ ਹਰਿ ਭਵਜਲੁ ਤਰਨਾ ॥੨॥੬॥੧੨॥

Meaning in Punjabi:

ਹੇ ਮੇਰੀ ਜਿੰਦੇ! ਜੇਹੜਾ ਹਰੀ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਕਾਮਨਾਂ ਪੂਰੀਆਂ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ, ਜੇਹੜਾ ਸਾਰੇ ਸੁਖ ਦੇਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ, ਜਿਸ ਦੇ ਵੱਸ ਵਿਚ (ਸ੍ਵਰਗ ਵਿਚ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲੀ ਸਮਝੀ ਗਈ) ਕਾਮਧੇਨ ਹੈਉਸ ਅਜੇਹੀ ਸਮਰਥਾ ਵਾਲੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਸਿਮਰਨ ਕਰਨਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ । ਹੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਮਨ! (ਜਦੋਂ ਤੂੰ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਸਿਮਰਨ ਕਰੇਂਗਾ) ਤਦੋਂ ਸਾਰੇ ਸੁਖ ਹਾਸਲ ਕਰ ਲਏਂਗਾ ਹੇ ਮਨ! ਸਦਾ-ਥਿਰ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਸਦਾ ਜਪਿਆ ਕਰ ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਸਰਬ-ਵਿਆਪਕ ਨਿਰਲੇਪ ਹਰੀ ਦਾ ਸਦਾ ਧਿਆਨ ਧਰਨਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ, (ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ) ਲੋਕ ਪਰਲੋਕ ਵਿਚ ਇੱਜ਼ਤ ਖੱਟ ਲਈਦੀ ਹੈ ।ਰਹਾਉ।ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਜਿਸ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਭਗਤੀ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ ਉਸ ਵਿਚੋਂ ਹਰੇਕ ਕਿਸਮ ਦਾ ਝਗੜਾ-ਬਖੇੜਾ ਚਾਲੇ ਪਾ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ । (ਫਿਰ ਭੀ) ਵੱਡੇ ਭਾਗਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਹੀ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਭਜਨ ਹੋ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਦਾਸ ਨਾਨਕ ਨੂੰ (ਤਾਂ) ਗੁਰੂ ਨੇ ਇਹ ਸਮਝ ਬਖ਼ਸ਼ੀ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਜਪ ਕੇ ਸੰਸਾਰ-ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਤੋਂ ਪਾਰ ਲੰਘ ਜਾਈਦਾ ਹੈ ।੨।੬।੧੨|

Meaning in Hindi:

हे मेरी जिंदे ! जो हरी सारी ही कामनाएं पूरी करने वाला है।जो सारे ही सुख देने वाला है।जिसके वश में (स्वर्ग में रहने वाली समझी गई) कामधेनु हैउस ऐसी स्मर्था वाले परमात्मा का सिमरन करना चाहिए।हे मेरे मन ! (जब तू परमात्मा का सिमरन करेगा) तब सारे सुख हासिल कर लेगा। 1।हे मन ! सदा स्थिर प्रभू का नाम सदा जपा कर।हे भाई ! सर्व-व्यापक निर्लिप हरी का सदा ध्यान धरना चाहिए।(इस तरह) लोक-परलोक में इज्जत कमा ली जाती है।रहाउ।हे भाई ! जिस हृदय में परमात्मा की भक्ति होती है उसमें से हरेक किस्म का झगड़ा-बखेड़ा निकल जाता है।(फिर भी) बहुत भाग्य से ही परमात्मा का भजन हो सकता है।हे भाई ! दास नानक को (तो) गुरू ने ये समझ दी है कि परमात्मा का नाम जप के संसार समुंद्र से पार लांघ जाना है। 2। 6। 12।

Dhanaasaree, Fourth Mehla:The Lord is the Fulfiller of desires, the Giver of total peace; the Kaamadhaynaa, the wish-fulfilling cow, is in His power.So meditate on such a Lord, O my soul. Then, you shall obtain total peace, O my mind. ||1||Chant, O my mind, the True Name, Sat Naam, the True Name.In this world, and in the world beyond, your face shall be radiant, by meditating continually on the immaculate Lord God. ||Pause||Wherever anyone remembers the Lord in meditation, disaster runs away from that place. By great good fortune, we meditate on the Lord.The Guru has blessed servant Nanak with this understanding, that by meditating on the Lord, we cross over the terrifying world-ocean. ||2||6||12||

Meaning in Spanish:

Dhanasri, Mejl Guru Ram Das, Cuarto Canal Divino.El Señor es Quien cumple todos nuestros deseos, el Dador de Paz, la vaca mitológica Kamadeyna, también está bajo Su Comando. Medita entonces en tal Señor, oh Alma mía, y así obtendrás total Paz, oh mente mía. (1) Canta, oh mi mente, el Nombre Verdadero, Sat Nam, el Verdadero Nombre. En este mundo y en el más allá, tu semblante estará radiante, meditando continuamente en el Señor, en el Purusha Inmaculado. (Pausa)Donde sea que alguien haga la Meditación del Señor, ahí ese ser podrá alejar las maldades de su interior, ya que por una gran fortuna habita en el Señor. El Guru ha bendecido a Nanak con Sabiduría y, contemplando al Señor, nada a través del mar de las existencias. (2-6-12)
